Jack Swagger
One night after threatening to cash in Money in the Bank on Raw, Jack Swagger actually followed through during Tuesday’s tapings of WWE Smackdown in Las Vegas.
The All-American American defeated Chris Jericho to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion during the opening segment of the show.
Jericho opened SmackDown by cutting a promo about retaining the title at WrestleMania. Edge came out and said that he should get a rematch right now, but Jericho declines his invite. So, the two start to brawl.
Edge then spears Jericho at which point Swagger came out and cashed in MITB.
He nailed Edge with the briefcase and then hit Jericho with a Power Bomb to win the belt. (watch video of the title change)
