Main Event Announced for ROH Return To Michigan

One of the most pressing matters ROH officials have had to deal with since Tyler Black captured the ROH World Championship at the “8th Anniversary Show” is who will get the first shot at the newly crowned champion. Black promised Roderick Strong the first opportunity in exchange for Strong serving as his judge in New York, but there are five other men in the “Pick 6” looking for their title opportunity, and one former champion in Austin Aries who has already filed for his rightful title rematch.

One man, above all others, has recently been extremely vocal about getting the opportunity that his third position in the Pick 6 affords him. That man is Chris Hero. “I watched Kenny King have to fight three men to keep his spot in New York!” said Hero. “I lost my top spot in an instant, and then saw Steen turn around and do the same. Competition in ROH is fierce, and the world can change faster than I can knock someone out…which, in case you are unaware, is pretty fast. I will not stand by and wait one second longer! I want my title match Ring of Honor, and I want it now.” Hero has petitioned ROH for a shot at Tyler Black’s World Title, and that petition is currently under review.

Two other combatants have been howling for their shot as well, but in the case of The American Wolves, it is a rematch for the ROH World Tag Team Titles that they seek. Coincidentally enough, Chris Hero, alongside Claudio Castagnoli, is also looking to for a shot at the Briscoes. “This rematch is something Ring of Honor owes us,” said Eddie Edwards in an email from Japan. “Not just because we are the former champs, but because nobody – and I stress NOBODY – in this tag division fights harder than Davey and I. Nobody can keep up with us inside that ring, and nobody can stop our hunt for those belts!”

With those three warriors all looking for shots at the different ROH titles, and ROH officials sorting through the current World Title picture as it relates to Tyler’s promise to Strong as well as the torrid contention in the Tag Team ranks, it has been decided that all six of these world-class wrestlers will square off in 6-Man Tag Team Competition when Ring of Honor returns to the Great Lakes State of Michigan on March 19th! It will be Tyler Black and The Briscoe Brothers versus Chris Hero and The American Wolves!

“Let the so-called officials in Ring of Honor sort through the hyperbole and promises,” said Hero. “I’ll gladly take this match because I can now kill two birds with one elbow. Tyler Black will once more taste my strikes, and at the same time, I’ll relish the opportunity to bust up the Briscoe boys before we even get to Charlotte. And when I come out victorious, it states my case better than the spoken word ever could.”

Three World Champions and three top challengers. All six inside one ring. Don’t miss out as championship ramifications are abound in this one! Will Tyler Black drop a fall before he even gets to defend his title? Can the Wolves soften up the Briscoes while they wait for the title rematch? Will all three champions show exactly why they carry the gold? All of these questions will be answered on March 19th!
