Maria
Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis seemed to be caught off guard by the company’s decision to release her on Friday.
Shortly after receiving news that her services were no longer needed by World Wrestling Entertainment the posted a brief statement on her Twitter account.
“I did not ask for my release. I was released,” Kanellis wrote. “I am sad about never getting the Championship. I am sad about not getting the chance to go to Wrestlemania again.”
She may be sad, but she seems to be upbeat at the same time.
“I am still going to kick ass in other areas!! I am excited about the future!”
While still slated to be a contestant on the upcoming NBC series Celebrity Apprentice, she is now turning to her musical career.
“Passion is my Motivation! Time to Sing! Time to work for Charity! Time to Dance! Time to be Alive again!”
Maria was among the four WWE release announced on Friday. Also released were Shane “Hurricane” Helms, Paul Burchill and referee Scott Armstrong.
