TNA Wrestling’s next live Impact on Spike TV will be starting an hour earlier.

As we reported last night, the April 5 edition of TNA Impact will start at 8 p.m. rather than its traditional 9 p.m. kickoff.

Also, as we first reported last night the move is not permanent. It is a one time deal.

The culprit? The NCAA basketball tournament finals. Tip off for the championship game is set for 9 p.m. and is expected to draw a massive audience.

TNA president Dixie Carter issued a brief statement Thursday afternoon via her Twitter account.

“To maximize viewership, Impact will air on Spike from 8-10 p.m. EST on 4/5 as to not conflict w/NCAA Men’s bball finals on CBS,” she wrote.

WWE Monday Night Raw will begin at its regular start time that night.
