Earlier this week WWE released seven talents and now another one of their top stars is ready to walk away.
Former WWE Champion Batista will be departing the company this week according to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson.
His contract has expired or will be expiring shortly and he wants to focus on movies.
Ironically, his decision to depart World Wrestling Entertainment cost him a movie role.
Batista was set to star in Killing Karma, but was replaced by Triple H after WWE caught wind that he would be leaving. The feeling is that the company did not want to push him in their movie if he was currently on their roster.
The 41-year-old native of Washington, D.C. will face John Cena at Sunday’s Night’s Extreme Rules pay per view.
