Ric Flair
Ring of Honor sued Ric Flair this past Thursday, stating the WWE Hall of Famer failed to live up to his contractual obligations with the company.
ROH alleges that Flair owes the company over $40,000 after pulling out of his “ROH Ambassador” role according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.
Flair was paid in advance of an appearance in Montreal last July, but failed to show at the event. The Canadian show was part of a part of a five show deal worth $10,000 per event. He never returned the money.
The lawsuit further alleges that Flair did not live up to his obligations on ROH on HDNet tapings. The current TNA Wrestling talent appeared at only one television taping before ended his brief stint with the company due to his relationship with WWE.
He would appear at a second set of TV tapings, but only appeared off camera to say goodbye to the fans.
He was paid $35,000 for his appearance on television.
