Ric Flair is looking to resurrect a dream. Sources say the WWE legend-turned-TNA recruit has hopes of opening his own gym and wrestling school in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Flair has owned several Gold’s Gyms in the past, which when sold apparently included a non-compete clause that expired at the end of 2009.
The 16-time WWE Champion would certainly have a wealth of skill, experience and contacts to bring to students, but it’s not clear how running such a business would fit in around Flair’s current committments with TNA, or whether he would intend to participate in training directly.
Flair’s current financial position may also be a factor in any new business plans, at least in the short term.
