ROH Newswire for Feb. 12: 8th Anniversary Show in NY

We’re only a day away! The Ring of Honor 8th Anniversary Celebration begins tomorrow night in Midtown Manhattan! The event takes place at the Manhattan Center (Grand Ballroom- 7th Floor), 311 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001. Doors will open around 6:15 PM for the event starting at 7:30 PM. - Kevin Steen dumped an entire new layer of uncertainty as it relates to the ongoing El Generico saga. Scheduled for a face-to-face confrontation with Colt Cabana tomorrow night, ROH Video crews unveiled an attempt by Cabana to get answers in Los Angeles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LduF4mlE_g). As you can see for yourself, and as Cabana noted, “There isn’t any need to talk in New York.” A grudge match was signed, and shortly thereafter, Steen released an open letter to Cabana. - Huge news broke this week as Ring of Honor, in association with HDNet International Sales and Big Media LLC, has secured a deal to provide the best pound for pound wrestling in the world to the people of Italy via Dahlia TV! - As Tyler Black lands in New York, he has to be unsure of what to expect. With the blizzard of Final Battle, coupled with the 60-minute time limit draw, more fans than ever have questioned if Black is indeed the chosen one. Now it seems that Black has come to grips with the fact hat only HE can answer that question. ROH on HDNet Executive Producer Jim Cornette has impressed on Black that he has to live up to the “blue-chipper” comparison; having ice water run through his veins and the killer instinct to fight and kill off whatever challenge might lay in waiting. Austin Aries says he’s ready, and both men made comments recently (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y7RRZdiJoU). Some say Black’s time has passed, but only Tyler will have the final say.
