TNA Wrestling held their second pay per view under the Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff regime on Sunday Night with Against All Odds.
In the opening match of the show and the 8 Card Stud Tournament, Pope D’Angelo Dinero defeated Desmond Wolfe with the Dinero Express.
In a backstage segment, Ric Flair got into it a little bit with Eric Bischoff after he demanded to know why Bischoff added himself to the main event.
Matt Morgan defeated Hernandez in the second match of the tournament. The TNA Tag Champs appeared to have a little friction as Hernandez shoved Morgan following the match.
Mr. Anderson scored a surprise upset victory when he beat Kurt Angle with the Mic Check in the third tournament match. Anderson played up the heel role after the match by snot rocketing him.
Backstage, Bischoff apologized to Mick Foley and Abyss for putting them in a match against each other. he also announced that it would be a No Disqualification Match.
Abyss defeated Foley after he hit him with a Black Hole Slam on tacks. Abyss seemed sorry afterwards and wanted to help him.
The Nasty Boys defeated Team 3D thanks to a little help from Jimmy Hart who gave Brian Knobs a motorcycle helmet to hit Brother Ray with, which led to a pinfall.
D’Angelo Dinero defeated Matt Morgan in a second round match of the 8 Card Stud Tournament. The crowd was really behind The Pope.
Mr. Anderson defeated Abyss in the other semi-final match of the tournament thanks again to the Mic Check.
Before the TNA Title Match between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, Hulk Hogan told Eric Bischoff to call it down the middle, which seemed to upset Bischoff a little bit.
Jeremy Borash was back in the ring to do the main event boxing style introductions.
AJ Styles defeated Samoa Joe with the Pele Kick to retain the TNA Title thanks to Ric Flair who distracted Eric Bischoff, who was serving as guest referee.
In the 8 Card Stud Tournament finals, The Pope D’Angelo Dinero defeated Mr. Anderson to become the No. 1 contender for the TNA Title.
In other TNA Wrestling news, the company will announce Monday that they are moving Impact to go head-to-head with WWE Raw.
