TNA ‘iMPACT!’ Rerun Ratings Nearly Match Original Broadcast On Monday Night

Source: PWInsider.com

In a ratings shocker that will surprise many people, last night’s encore presentation of TNA iMPACT! on SpikeTV scored a 0.97 rating, nearly matching the 0.98 rating that the original broadcast did this past Monday night against WWE RAW.

In comparison in total viewers, the live show on Monday did 1,361,000 while the rerun did 1,303,000 viewers. If you combine both numbers, TNA scored a 1.95 rating and 2,664,000 total viewers. This, of course, assumes that the viewers that watched the encore didn’t get a chance to catch the live Monday show.

This could be positive news for the company as perhaps viewers somehow forgot that the show moved to Monday nights and tuned in to their Thursday encore. Or, better yet, word of mouth got out by fans based on Monday’s well-liked live show. That, or viewers that decided to watch RAW on Monday night figured that the company will be replaying the show on Thursday and decided to watch WWE live and tuned in to TNA last night.

Viewers that tuned in to SpikeTV last night saw a reminder on the bottom right of the screen saying that show will permanently be airing on Monday nights.

According to TV listings for next week, however, the replay seemed to be a one-time deal as the movie Predator is set to air in the slot next week. Viewers wanting to catch TNA Wrestling can now only watch the show on Monday nights at 9/8pm central time on SpikeTV.
