TNA’s Mick Foley Joins Forces with RAINN

TNA and former WWE star Mick Foley is taking a stand. Mick and his wife Collette have teamed up with RAINN in their compaign against sexual violence.

The Foleys plan to donate 50% of the advance royalties from Mick’s next book Countdown to Lockdown to RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network). Mick has also joined the organization’s National Leadership Council and is training to become a helpline volunteer.

The other 50% of those royalties, Foley reveals in his blog, will be going toward helping victims of sexual violence not in the USA but in the African country of Sierra Leone. “I have seen the faces of the victims,” blogs Mick, “I’ve heard their stories … they’re human beings, every bit as deserving of compassion as our brothers and sisters here in the Unites States.”

Countdown to Lockdown is slated for release in Fall of 2010.
