Undertaker
The Undertaker was injured in a pyrotechnics accident prior to his match Sunday night at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay per view.
As he was making his entrance a burst of flame shot up directly underneath him, igniting his jacket and causing burns to his body. He quickly stripped the jacket off and began heading to the ring at a brisk pace in an effort to extinguish the fire.
According to one fan in attendance the WWE legend was completely engulfed in flames from head to toe for a couple of seconds.
Once inside the ring he was given bottles of water by the referee to pour on his burned skin.
To his credit, he worked the match to its completion and did the job for Chris Jericho while building his feud with Shawn Michaels.
After the match he was extremely upset and was yelling about the incident backstage according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. WWE management tried to calm him down.
Another fan reported that Undertaker stopped at the top of the ramp on his way to the back and yelled at the pyrotechnic operators.
Video of the incident can be seen by clicking here.

I watched this happen live at the event. I was completely shocked the Undertaker went through with that match after almost suffering what could of been severe burns. Fans could’ve seriously been injured as his whole body was on fire. The flames came up from right underneath his feet which should’ve never happened as they are always to the left and right of the stage; a safe distance away from him and fans. This was obviously a huge mistake on the pyro crew of WWE. They all should be fired.
I can picture how it came to this, LOL:
- Vince, Taker wants to retire after he drops the title at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
- Alright. Then we’ll set him on fire, it will draw ratings and it’s in the best interest of the company. Taker burned Taker.
