According to the Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was reportedly furious when he saw a video of Ric Flair making his TNA Wrestling debut on January 4th – the first time that TNA’s iMPACT! went head to head with RAW.
The story goes that he was shown a video of him making his debut and then McMahon proceeded with throwing down his headset (McMahon executive produces RAW) and then kicked it. Apparently, even though it was heavily rumored everywhere, McMahon didn’t expect him to make his debut with the company and was angry about the whole situation to say the very least.
