The woman reportedly struck by WWE Star Greg ‘Hurricane’ Helms has spoken to TMZ, saying that the injury to her was unintentional.
Ashley Storer has revealed that after spending time at a Kentucky bar the group caught a cab, and that she was seated between Helms and Chris Jericho when what started as a play-fight got out of control. Ms Storer says that as the two men struggled she was accidentally struck by Helms’ elbow, prompting the cab driver to pull into the gas station and call the police.
The Wrestling Observer reports that when the cab stopped Helms ran off and Matt Hardy, identified afterward as the 5th person in the group, followed to bring him back.
The Observer also notes a rumour that Jason Reso (Christian) and Phillip Brooks (CM Punk) were responsible for posting the bond on which Helms and Jericho were later released, although this is unconfirmed.
