The street fight between Sheamus and Triple H that was supposed open the show took place after the World Title Match.

Before Randy Orton and Jack Swagger could make it to the back after their match at WWE Extreme Rules, Sheamus came out to the ring and demanded that the referee raise his hand and declare him the victor over Triple H because The Game could not compete.

The cameras cut to the back where Todd Grisham repeated that Triple H would not be able to compete. However, the door to the training room swung open and the challenger emerged.

The match was on.

The two men brawled back and forth with the younger Sheamus doing the majority of the damage. Eventually he would go back to the same steel pipe that he assaulted Triple H with at the top of the broadcast, but the Game was able to kick out and at which point the table turned.

Triple H had enough and began relentlessly assaulting Sheamus with a kendo stick. However, the Celtic Warrior countered a Pedigree attempt, back dropped Triple H onto the steel ramp and never looked back.

Multiple boots to the face later Sheamus got the win.

Trainers and paramedics tried to take Triple H out of the ring on a stretcher, but he fought them off and refused to leave if it wasn’t under his own power. As they were walking up the ramp, Sheamus came back out and hit him with one more boot to the face. It was then that he would finally be stretchered out.
