WWE Extreme Rules: Sheamus Jumps HHH, Hart Dynasty Gets Title Shot

WWE Extreme Rules opened with the street fight between Triple H and Sheamus. The Game’s music hit, but the former WWE Champion was nowhere to be found.

Broadcasters Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker looked puzzled as a camera cut to the back where Sheamus was assaulting his opponent. Officials and Teddy Long tried to break it up as the Irish wrestler attacked him over and over with a lead pipe. A trainer was called to attend to an unconscious Triple H.

WWE Tag Team Champions Big Show and Miz came out to the ring. Miz joked about the show not starting off as expected and then turned his attention to Brett Hart. He is still looking for Hart to announce ShowMiz as the greatest tag team in WWE history.

Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long came out and put an end to Miz’s tirade. Long put the champs in a match and further stipulated that if the challengers win, they would earn a future shot at their titles. Miz kept jabbering on, putting down the Baltimore Orioles, which led to Long adding additional teams. Eventually Big Show had to shut up his partner.

The winning team will challenge for the titles on Monday Night Raw.

The first team they faced is R-Truth and John Morrison. Morrison and Truth got disqualified after the Shaman of Sexy refused to break a triangle choke while Show was on the ropes.

MVP and Mark Henry were the next pair to come through the curtain to challenge the champs. Again, the champs were able to persevere.

The Hart Dynasty were the last team through the curtain and defeated the champs in less than ten seconds. Bret Hart and Natalya came out to celebrate post match.
