Friday in New York City, Mattel & WWE launched their new range to the toy industry.
The annual International Toy Fair trade show was opened by Superstar Triple H, who showcased the current and upcoming WWE action figures. He described the Toy Fair as “almost … the WrestleMania of the toy industry,” and talked up Mattel as a “heavyweight” in that industry.
“Mattel has every toy line that you can think of that has been a major factor in kids’ lives since forever.”
Also in attendance were WWE COO Donna Goldsmith and Mattel President Neil Friedman. “It’s the family-friendly motto,” Goldsmith explained. “Mattel is a perfect match for WWE and our family-friendly entertainment.”
Says Friedman, “This is opening day at Toy Fair, and we have probably the biggest news in the toy industry today: The partnership between Mattel, the No. 1 toy company, and the No. 1 entertainment company, WWE.”
“There are no words for how cool this is.”
WWE.com currently has a feature on the Toy Fair, including pictures of the new action figure range.
