WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is scheduled to appear on Tuesday’s edition of ECW on Syfy to address the future of the brand.
There is speculation that WWE will essentially kill the brand tonight and debut a new show focusing on newer talents in the company according to PWInsider.
Executives at SyFy have been in talks with WWE about tweaking the show as its viewership has dropped nearly 66% since its debut in 2006.
Mike Johnson also points out that there are some within the cable network who feel WWE turned ECW into a lower level WWE series instead of a prominent brand such as Raw or Smackdown.
WWE is taping ECW and Smackdown tonight in Memphis, Tennessee.
