Vickie Guerrero
WWE kicked off Monday Night Raw in a big way with a surprise appearance by actor/singer Meatloaf and instituting a full-time General Manager for the show.
The show opened with Randy Orton coming to the ring to cut a promo, but he was immediately cut off by Meatloaf who tried to get him to use a cut from his latest CD as his new theme.
After some chicanery on the singer’s part, Orton laid him out with an RKO, which brought out Edge.
Edge said that he had been in touch with WWE headquarters and they agreed to strip the celebrity guest hosts of their power and to put a permanent General Manager in place.
The new GM turned out to be his ex-wife, Vickie Guerrero. She put Orton in a handicap match against Edge and a partner of his choosing.
UPDATE: It didn’t last long. Guerrero quit as the show drew to a close.
