WWE star Randy Orton seemed caught off guard by reports of the arrest of Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms. He was caught in an airport on Thursday and asked about the incident by a reporter for TMZ.
“No… not Chris,” Orton said on camera. “I don’t believe it. I never heard that.”
He seemed a little less surprised by the arrest of Helms, however.
When asked if WWE were the new rock stars as far as behaving badly Orton—a perennial bad boy—took sort of a tongue in cheek approach.
“We don’t get in trouble,” he quipped. “We represent WWE in a very positive manner. Getting in trouble isn’t very positive now is it?”
Jericho and Helms were arrested early Wednesday morning in Kentucky on charges of being drunk in public. Helms struck three people, including a woman, during the incident.
