When TNA Impact moves back to Thursday night, effective May 13, Spike TV will once again throw a big push behind the WWE alternative.

Spike is dubbing Thursday nights as “TNA Thursdays” and adding an extra hour of TNA programming to the mix.

TNA Reaction has been picked up and will lead into Impact each Thursday night at 8 p.m.

The move to Thursday night also means the death of live Impact broadcasts. The show’s ratings do not justify the cost of incurred with a live broadcast.

The ratings should normalize for TNA back into the 1.0 range with the move. With the new talents there is a chance that the promotion could see substantial growth when not going directly up against the juggernaut that is WWE Raw.

TNA Wrestling has decided to pack up and move back to Thursday nights.

Monday’s live broadcast of Impact will be the final one on Spike TV for the foreseeable future according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com.

TNA President Dixie Carter personally informed the talent of the move late Monday afternoon.

The show had experienced sagging ratings since its move to compete head to head with WWE Monday Night Raw.

No word yet on whether TNA will have live broadcasts on Thursday night or return to a purely taped schedule.

TNA Wrestling is promising to make a major announcement during Monday’s live broadcast of Impact.

Dixie Carter hyped the announcement on her Twitter account Monday afternoon in an effort to boost ratings for the struggling Impact broadcast.

“TNA will make a major announcement during tonight’s TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV at 8ET/7CT,” Carter wrote. “We strive to deliver what our fans want, and the next step in the evolution of the TNA brand will do just that.”

Last week’s TNA Impact replay on Thursday night drew higher ratings that the original broadcast on Monday night.

TNA Wrestling will soon be without one of their main TNA Knockouts.

Lisa Marie Varon, better known as Tara, announced that she will be leaving the company as soon as her contract is up in the middle of May.

The former WWE Diva recently sat down with TNA to negotiate a new contract, but talks broke down after the Dixie Carter run company refused to give her a raise.

It appears that the separation is going to be an ugly one.

“I was paid a fraction of what I thought I deserved,” Varon wrote on her blog. “But I wanted to show I was still at the top of my game. Now my contract is up in May. I want a modest pay increase. They don’t want to pay me what I think is fair. I have no problem going my own way.”

“But about 12 hours after the conversation where we didn’t agree on pay, unnamed sources claim that I am hard to work with and that I don’t give my best effort. My only response is that TNA made an aggressive effort to re-sign me, among other things saying that they want to build the women’s division around me. And I think wrestling fans see, both on TV and at live events, that I always give 100%. I take pride in that. . . Smearing me on the way out the door is an act of second rate character.”

There is a chance that she could wind up back with World Wrestling Entertainment to replace the void left behind by Mickie James.

This week’s Impact starts off with highlights from last week’s huge show which featured the crowning of the “NEW F’N CHAMPION!” Great recap of the Title Match and some words from RVD after the match in the back.

The intro hits and we are live (well not really) from Orlando! As the show starts Tenay announces that Sting & AJ Styles will be facing Jeff Jarrett & Jeff Hardy in a Tag Team Match tonight!

Hulk Hogan’s music hits and the Hulkster makes his way out to the ring with some huge pyro. Hogan says things around here in TNA are wide open right now and he says he’s been on a ‘high’ ever since Lockdown and it’s been the same since Impact. He says things are changing in TNA right now. Hogan says he knows what it means to be a World Champion and he says that being the TNA World Champion makes you the ‘hood ornament’ of this company and it means more than he even ever dreamed it could be. He puts over RVD and says that he has a big target on his back now. He says RVD has to up his game every single night from now on and he says every single talent in TNA is stepping their game up right now. Hogan says Bischoff has put together a brand new Heavyweight Ranking System and he says the fans will have a major influence in this ranking system. Hogan says he was on the edge of his seat when RVD went toe-to-toe with Jeff Hardy and then he calls AJ Styles one of the greatest wrestlers of ‘our time’ (excellent job in putting AJ over). The fans boo when Hogan mentions AJ’s name but Hogan says you can say what you want about him but there is absolutely denying how great AJ Styles is. Hogan puts over RVD beating AJ and says he knew he saw the game change when RVD won the match last night and then he brings out RVD. RVD’s music hits and the brand new World Heavyweight Champion makes his way down to the ring with the belt around his waist for the very first time in TNA! Van Dam hasn’t had some gold around his waist since 2007. RVD tells Hogan to feel free to call him “Mr. T-N-A” (HEY THAT’S MY NAME!) and then Hogan repeats it along with the fans. Van Dam says the reason he came to TNA is because he figured that Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, and everybody in the organization would give him a fair opportunity to just be himself, just be Rob Van Dam. RVD says look where that got them and points at the belt and the fans chant his name yet again. RVD says a lot of people will never understand RVD’s connection with the fans or his connection with ‘mother Earth’s finest’ (it should be noted that this show was taped on 4/20). RVD says some people don’t get the balance it takes to be such a ‘cool laid back dude’ but at the same time kick so much a**! RVD says it’s fine for those that don’t understand because you don’t have to understand what it’s like to be Rob Van Dam, but you just have to understand that he’s one of the toughest guys you’ll ever run into, he’s the best at what he does, and from this day forward the greatest World Champion that TNA has ever had! RVD says that’s why he’s the “WHOLE F’N SHOW”! “Get Ready to Fly!” hits and the former champion, AJ Styles, looking none to happy makes his way out to the ring alongside Ric Flair. Hulk Hogan says nobody invited either one of those ex-champs on there and AJ asks if he’s done talking now. A big “ex World Champ” chant starts and AJ screams for them to shutup. AJ says RVD sounds like a Hallmark greeting card. AJ says RVD is right and says there are millions of people that don’t understand RVD or his lifestyle. AJ calls RVD a hippy freak from Southern California that nobody understands, dude! AJ asks RVD if he really said he was the greatest athlete and that he’s going to be one of the greatest World Champions ever. RVD nods and AJ asks him if he’s high RIGHT NOW (with a huge “YEAH!” from the crowd of course). Taz says there’s a good chance of that. AJ says RVD must be high because last week he was beating the piss out of RVD last week when he slipped on the top rope. He says that’s how RVD became the World Champion. AJ says RVD probably lubed up the ropes because ‘you know I can fly!’ AJ says now this week he’s stuck in some “b.s. tag match” when he should be getting his rematch for the belt. AJ says he will be getting his rematch but it won’t be when RVD wants it or when the people want it, but when AJ wants it. AJ tells RVD to put that in his pipe in smoke it! Flair says he doesn’t care about RVD or his lifestyle and as a matter of fact he thinks being the World Champion is pretty cool. He reminds RVD that Flair has been one 16 times. He tells RVD to try that on for size. Flair says he and Hogan have a problem and it’s called who they are, what they are, what they’ve accomplished, and where they’ll end up. Pointing at his Hall of Fame ring the whole time. Flair says Hogan has taken the responsibility for giving Abyss that Hall of Fame ring and Flair made the mistake of letting other people do his work so tonight he swears to God that for every scar he has on his head he’ll put one on Abyss. He says he’ll saw that finger off of Abyss to stop this mockery. Flair says you make a mockery of Ric Flair you die! Flair says tonight he’ll walk that aisle looking only the way he can styling and profiling and tonight Abyss has to beat the man to be the man. Flair says he’s had a lifetime of beating big guys. Flair drops the mic and he AJ leave the RVD and Hogan in the ring.

In the back Beautiful People complaining about Madison having to defend her belt tonight. Madison says it’s not fair that she has to face 2 girls tonight. Velvet says just when it looks like BP have things going their way TNA has gone out of their way to try and screw them. Lacey says they can’t ’screw us’ and Velvet lets her know what she really meant. Rayne says the way Tara and Angelina have been barking over the belt she’ll just let them tear each other apart and slide in and finish the job. She says tonight she’ll cleanse TNA of ugly people, TWO at a time.

Madison Rayne (c) vs. Tara vs. Angelina Love

The girl to pick up the fall is the champ. At Lockdown Angelina dropped her belt after Madison pinned Tara in the Tag Team Steel Cage Match and after the match Tara actually turned on Angelina and threw her into the cage. On commentary Taz refers to BP as the Beautiful Champions. My god, I love their entrance. Slick Johnson bans Velvet & Lacey from ringside for this match! I hate you Slick. Madison quickly slide out of the ring and ran away from Angelina & Tara as the bell rang. Angelina followed her out and chased her back into the ring but Madison eats a clothesline from Tara! Tara and Angelina then get in each others faces and Tara chest bumps Angelina. Angelina answers with a forearm and they begin an exchange of forearms in the center of the ring! Angelina attempts to whip Tara into the ropes but Tara reverses it only to eat a big Spear from Angelina! Angelina then mounts Tara and reigns down right hands. Finally Slick Johnson pulls her off so Madison slides in and covers Tara! 1…2…NO Tara kicks out! Angelina grabs Madison and throws her into the corner. Angelina puts the boots to her and then Tara jumps her from behind and picks Angelina up by her hair and hangs her on Tara’s back! Tara drops Angelina and covers her for a near fall. Madison rolls Tara up, 1…2…NO Tara kicks out but then Madison hit’s a Running Front Kick to Tara that sends her flying out of the ring to the floor!

Back from commercials Angelina throws Madison into the corner and then throws her into the opposite corner. Madison attempts a running clothesline out of the corner but Angelina ducks and hits one of her own for another near fall. Madison tries to escape out of the ring again but Angelina grabs her by the leg and pulls her back in. Angelina hit’s a Front Slam on Madison! 1…2…NO Madison kicks out! Madison rolls out of the ring again and Angelina follows her out. As she got on the apron Tara ran in and nailed her with a big right hand and then slammed her into the ring post! Madison slides into the ring and rolls Tara up! 1…2…NO Tara kicks out and then kicks Madison in the gut. Tara hit’s a Snap Suplex and then rolls backward and locks in the Guillotine Choke! Tara stands Madison up and lights that gorgeous chest up with a Flair Chop and then she whips Madison into the ropes. Tara goes for a clothesline but Madison ducks and hit’s a Running Facebuster! Both girls are down now. Angelina rolls back into the ring and hit’s a Double Clothesline on Tara & Madison! Angelina follows up with a Forearm Smash on Tara and then one for Madison! Two more for Tara & Madison and then she hit’s a crazy Uranage-style Jawbreaker on Tara! Angelina follows up with the Botox Injection on Madison! Tara spins her around and hit’s the Spider’s Web! Tara screams “Get up bitch!” at both girls and as Angelina was standing up Madison shoves Angelina hard into Tara sending Tara crashing through the ropes down to the floor! Madison rolls Angelina up, 1…2…3 and she retains the belt!

After the match Angelina was holding that arm and if you pay attention to news sites Dixie Carter announced that Angelina suffered a partially torn bicep and ligament damage to that arm in this match. Tara jumps Angelina after the match and continues to beat her down until security runs out to break them up. After re-watching the finish I’m thinking Angelina hurt her arm when Madison shoved her into Tara. I think her arm got caught up in the ropes. They’re saying she’s out until at least May but I’d be shocked to see her back in May.

Kazarian (c) vs. “Prince of Punk” Shannon Moore

This is Kazarian’s first defense of the title since he won it at Lockdown and Kaz still doesn’t have possession of the actual title belt because it’s still in Britain with Williams. Tenay says Williams will be on Impact next week and will give his thoughts on being stripped of the belt. Kaz and Moore lockup and Moore locks him in a hammerlock and Kaz reveres it into a Keylock. Moore rolls backwards and reverses it back into a Hammerlock. Kaz counters with a modified arm drag followed by another arm drag. Kaz follows with a Scoop Slam and then he goes for an Elbow Drop, but Moore avoids it and hits an arm drag of his own. Moore then hits another modified arm drag followed by a Scoop Slam of his own. Moore goes for a Running Leg Drop but Kaz moves out of the way. The little ’sports ticker’ that scrolls at the bottom of the page updates the injury that Daffney suffered in a Dark Match last week saying she suffered a stinger, a concussion, and a bruised sternum. Kaz locks Moore in a side headlock and Moore shoves him off into the ropes and goes for a backhand chop, but Kaz ducks and whips Moore into the ropes. Moore hit’s a Rolling Hurricanrana followed by an Atomic Drop! Moore then hits an Elevated Leg Drop for the first near fall of the match. Moore shoves Kaz into the corner and lights him up with forearms and then whips Kaz into the opposite corner. Moore charges but Kaz moves and follows up with a Slingshot Armdrag! Kaz then follows up with a Spinning Neckbreaker for another near fall. Kaz hit’s a forearm smash and then he attempts to whip Moore into the corner but Moore reverses it and then charges again. Kaz backdrops Moore over the top but Moore lands on the apron and hits Kaz with a forearm. Moore goes for a Slingshot Sunset Flip but Kaz blocks it and goes for the Reverse Tombstone that we saw Kaz hit at Lockdown! Moore blocks it and goes for a Neckbreaker, but Kaz blocks it and shoves Moore off! Moore slams into the referee by accident. Kaz charges at Moore but Moore nails him with an elbow and then climbs to the top rope. Kaz hit’s a nasty Leaping Enziguri to the head of Moore! Kaz climbs up with Moore and attempts a Superrana but Moore blocks it! Moore stets up for a move but Matt Morgan runs out of nowhere and shoves Moore off the top rope to the floor! Morgan then rolls Moore into the ring and screams “noone turns us down” into the camera as he walks away. Kaz gets to his feet, not seeing what just happened, as the referee gets to his feet as well. Kaz picks Moore up and hit’s the Reverse Tombstone! 1…2…3 and Kaz retains the belt!

Samoa Joe’s music hits and the Samoan Submission Machine power walks down to the ring as Kaz is trying to figure out why! Joe circles Kaz and then he Superkicks the hell out of him! Joe then puts the boots to Kaz and puts him up on the top rope and hit’s the Muscle Buster! R.I.P. to Kaz! Joe looks psychotically into the camera and leaves.

Back from commercials Abyss is in the back discussing how he felt about Hogan giving him the ring. Abyss says he knows the ring doesn’t have any magical powers but it did instill the confidence in him that Hulk would give it to him and now he has confidence in himself. Abyss says he knows there’s nothing he can’t do and he knows it’s not because of the ring but it’s because of his confidence. Abyss says he could lose the ring he cares so much about tonight but he will never lose the confidence it has given him. He asks Flair “whatcha gonna do when I take your ring from you!”

In the back Morgan asks Jesse Neal if he’ll team with him. Jesse says everyone saw what he did to Amazing Red, forget about it. Morgan says look at Red and then look at Jesse, he says Jesse makes Red look like a paper boy. Morgan says he understands why Neal wouldn’t want to face 3D but he asks about the promise that Jesse made to his friend that died in the Navy. Morgan says he made a promise to his buddy that he would be would day a champion. Morgan says this is his chance at making good on the promise. Morgan says he doesn’t want anybody else, ‘we want Jesse.’ Morgan tells Jesse to think with his heart and then walks away. Morgan is such a d*ck, it’s awesome!

AJ is walking to the ring talking about taking care of business tonight.

Falls Count Anywhere Tag Team Match
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles & “The Icon” Sting vs. “King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett & “Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy

Taz mentions how odd it is to see AJ without the belt after over 7 months of seeing it around his waist. As Jeff and Jeff enter the ring Sting and AJ attack them. Jarrett & Hardy turn the tides quickly and Hardy throws AJ over the top to the ramp while Jarrett mounts Sting in the corner and reigns down rights on him. Sting comes back and hits an Atomic Drop on Jarrett! AJ lights Jarrett up with right hands on the ramp while Jarrett nails Sting with an Enziguri in the ring. Tenay mentions how every wrestler in this match is a former World Champion (AJ a multi-time TNA Champ, Jarrett & Sting are former multi-time WCW & TNA Champs, and Hardy a former WWE Champ). Jarrett clotheslines Sting out to the floor while AJ attempts to Suplex Hardy on the ramp, but Hardy blocks it and reverses it! Jarrett brawls with Sting into the crowd and cracks him with a steel chair. Hardy gets a near fall on the ramp while Jarrett gets one in the crowd. This is really hard to keep up with as Tenay mentions that two referees have been assigned to this match. Jarrett attempts to whip Sting into the guardrail but Sting reverses it. Hardy throws AJ back into the ring and puts the boots to him. Hardy goes for the Twist of Fate but AJ shoves Hardy into the ropes. Hardy comes off the ropes and hit’s a Forearm Smash on AJ as Sting chokes Jarrett in the ropes. AJ comes back with Flair Chops on Hardy and then he tosses Hardy over the top to the floor and then follows it up with a Sliding Dropkick to Jarrett as Sting rolled him in. AJ lights Jarrett up with chops and right hands. AJ attempts to whip Jarrett into the ropes but Jarrett reverses it and locks AJ in a Sleeper! AJ fights it and accidentally hit’s the referee as his arms were flailing around and then he low blows Jarrett with a mule kick. Hardy tags Jarrett but the referee didn’t see it. AJ throws Jarrett into the heel corner and the heels put the boots to him. Sting tags in and hit’s a Suplex on Jarrett for a near fall. Sting throws Jarrett into AJ’s foot as AJ had it up on the top rope. Sting attempts to whip Jarrett into the ropes but Jarrett reverses it and both men attempt Running Shoulder Blocks at the same time! The fans are getting behind the faces as both men are down. AJ distracts the referee right as Jarrett reached for the tag so he couldn’t see it! Sting tags in AJ and the referee can’t stop Hardy from coming in and clothes lining AJ! Hardy hit’s a back elbow and then a Sitout Front Suplex! Hardy hit’s the Hardyac Arrest in the corner on AJ! Sting looks like he’s walking away from the match now! Hardy climbs up to the top but AJ crotches him in the corner and then knocks Hardy off the top. AJ climbs out and drags Hardy onto the ramp as Jarrett is wondering where the hell Sting went. AJ goes for the Styles Clash on the ramp but Hardy blocks it and then throws AJ off the ramp into the guardrail! Jeff dives off the ramp onto AJ! Jarrett finds Sting and they start brawl up the stairs into the rafters! Jeff lays AJ out on a table and then climbs up on the stage! Hardy is setting up a ladder on the stage now as Sting nails Jarrett with a bat! Sting repeatedly nails Jarrett with the bat and covers him for the pin just as Hardy had climbed to the top of the ladder!

Winners: Sting & Styles via pinfall

In the back Jesse Neal asks for 3D’s blessing to accept Morgan’s offer. Bubba asks Neal if he even saw what Morgan did to Red. Bubba says Morgan will just use him but Neal says he can take care of Morgan. Neal says he just wants to be champion but Bubba asks him how he’s going to be champion and Neal says by beating them. Bubba likes it and they give him their blessings but tells him to be prepared for them to come at him harder than they come at anybody. Bubba tells Devon they have to take care of ‘that other thing’ now.

D’Angelo Dinero is walking in the back with a patch over his eye and his arm in a sling.

Back from commercials D’Angelo Dinero’s music hits and The Pope makes his way out to the ring for the first time since Lockdown. Taz says that Pope suffered a shoulder separation (I know from experience, not a fun injury) as well as a torn labrum. The patch over his eye is selling how AJ stabbed him in the eye with the pen at Lockdown and they show highlights of the match including the spot where Pope hurt his shoulder. Pope point at his large belt buckle and says that’s not the TNA Title, it’s his personal piece. Pope mentions how AJ stabbed him in the eye and how AJ tried to end his career and take food out his mouth. Pope asks who AJ thinks he is and he says that AJ is nothing more than a gas bubble on Pope’s sour stomach (I literally spit out my drink as he said that). Pope says whether AJ has the gold now or not he wants AJ to know that he hasn’t forgotten about him. Pope says complaining or not AJ walked out of Lockdown with the 3 count and in the “Gospel According to Pope” there are no excuses, but also in that Gospel there’s “a tooth for a tooth, and an eye for an eye.” Pope says he doesn’t expect AJ to come out there but he wants him to know that he isn’t done with AJ yet. Pope someone asked him where he goes from here and asked if he’ll regroup now. Pope says hell to the naw and when ‘we fall down, we get back up.’ Pope asks the fans what the congregation what they do when they fall down and the fans yell ‘get back up.’ Pope says AJ was nothing more than an obstacle in his life that he tripped over but he’s back up. Pope says if AJ was expecting for the Congregation to dwindle he’s wrong because they represented at Lockdown and they’re representing big time now! Pope does his “Pope is pimping” quote and then Mr. Anderson’s music hits! Anderson is coming fresh off his Match of the Year Candidate with Kurt Angle at Lockdown. Anderson climbs into the ring with Pope. Man, we have two of the most charismatic wrestlers in the biz in the ring together right now. Anderson says he’s going to start calling Pope the “Kool Aid Man” and he’s not talking about the busting through the wall, “OH YEAH” Kool-Aid Man, but the Jim Jones drinking and killing yourself Kool Aid Man. Anderson asks the fans what they’re laughing at because they’re drinking that Kool Aid. Anderson says he gets it, they’re gullible. He looks at the fans and says they’re gullible. He starts calling guys in the crowd names and then he asks Pope if he got a ‘boo-boo’ and mocks him. He asks Pope if he knows who else got a boo-boo and he says it was Kurt Angle. Anderson says Angle is at home licking his wounds and then he asks Pope if he’s going to go home and lick his wounds and nurse his injuries, or…but Pope interrupts him and tells him to get to his point and shut the hell up. Anderson says okay and asks Pope if he’s going to go home and lick his wounds or is he going to take his testicles out of his moms purse, sack ‘em up, and get in the ring with Anderson at Sacrifice! Anderson says can he get a “Amen” or…then he starts clucking like a chicken at Pope. The fans chant for Pope and Pope says his arm may be in a sling right now but the pimp hand is still strong as he starts wiggling his fingers on the injured arm. Anderson looks at the arm and Pope Pimp Slaps him with the other one! Anderson jumps on Pope and starts throwing right hands at the injured eye of Pope. He pokes and rakes at Pope’s eye until security runs out and pulls Anderson off.

“The Blueprint” Matt Morgan & Jesse Neal (c) vs. Team 3D

3D doesn’t come out as their music hits and then we see in the back 3D talking trash standing over Syxx-Pac who is laid out in a table on the concrete with a pool of blood coming from his head! Devon says Pac should’ve never came back and he tells him “when you wake up from you’re coma, stay your behind at home!” Damn, Syxx-Pac has been officially kicked from TNA I do believe. Neal and Devon will start the match off. Devon locks Neal in a side headlock but Neal shoves him off only to eat a shoulder block. Devon locks him in another side headlock and then Bubba tags in and lights Neal up with a chop. Bubba locks Neal in a Bear Hug and The Band’s music hits! 3D and The Outsiders are walking down to the ring and Nash has Syxx-Pac’s blood on his hand showing it to 3D as they clash on the ramp! Nash and Devon brawl while Hall and Bubba brawl! Jesse Neal runs over to help 3D but Morgan turns him around and lays him out as the referee rings the bell.

Winners: Team 3D via DQ (Morgan retains)

Morgan drags Neal back into the ring and Chokeslams him! Morgan poses over Neal with the Tag belts.

Back from commercials Jesse Neal is in the ring with 3D. Neal has a microphone and screams for Matt Morgan saying he’s not done. Neal screams at Morgan to come back down so he can kick his a**. Christy Hemme approaches Morgan and asks him about Neal calling him out. Morgan says he already forgot that kid’s name and now he’s off the clock. Morgan walks away and right into Hulk Hogan. Hogan tells Morgan he needs to make a choice, either go out there and deal with Jesse Neal or stay there and deal with Hogan. Morgan goes back out to the ring and 3D leaves Neal alone to deal with Morgan on his own. Neal meets Morgan on the ramp and lays into him! Neal nails Morgan with a head butt and then he grabs one of the Tag belts and threatens to hit Morgan with it, but Morgan begs him off and then lowblows him! Morgan grabs the belt and kisses it and then lays Neal out with it! Morgan celebrates again but then Shannon Moore’s music hits and Moore runs out and hit’s a Missile Dropkick off the top on Morgan! Morgan bails out to the floor and starts having a fit at Moore getting the best of him! Moore helps Neal to his feet and then they shake hands. They notice each others Mohawks.

In the back Eric Bischoff discusses the new Ranking System. He says he’s been working with members of the TNA Staff as well as people outside of the company have come up with a Ranking System that would allow the fans to help make the top contenders for the company. All the fans have to do is go to TNAWrestling.com and vote for the wrestler that you think deserves a chance at the World Title. He says you can vote as much as you want and then Jay Lethal walks in and says he’s ready to vote! Lethal says he’ll just tell him his vote! He says #1 is Andre and then he just starts naming off old school wrestlers for the rest of the Top 10 as Bischoff just looks on pissed off at him.

Back from commercials Orlando Jordan is in the back wearing a freaking rainbow colored feather…I have no idea what that is. Jordan says his art represents his body, his soul, and his passion. Jordan says speaking of passionate works of art there is one man in TNA that transcends any other specimen in TNA and that is “The Freak” Rob Terry. Jordan says he has witnessed him destroy every obstacle that has been put in front of him. He says next week we will witness the premier of his show “Ozone” with his special guest Rob Terry next week. He guarantees that it will be absolutely delicious. I’m absolutely creeped out.

Ric Flair discusses coming out of retirement again and stepping back into the ring tonight. He likens it to Doc Holiday coming out of retirement and putting another notch on his gun. Flair talks about Hogan disrespecting the Hall of Fame ring and his career and he says it offends him to see Abyss wearing it. Flair says Abyss will never be in a Hall of Fame. Ric, you could’ve taken the dip out of your mouth man.

Hall tells him he must be in line for an a** whipping and he better leave Big Kev alone cause Scott is the nice one. Nash says he realizes they’re a man down and maybe they’ll get someone else. Nash says they’ll bring someone and they’ll be 3 and Scott says they’re going to go check on Pac.

Abyss and Flair lockup in the ring and Abyss flings Flair across the ring! Flair kicks Abyss in the gut and then lights him up with chops and jabs in the corner. Flair attempts to whip Abyss into the corner but Abyss blocks it and then nails Flair with stiff right hands. Abyss whips Flair into the opposite corner and then hit’s a backdrop and Flair rolls out of the ring. Abyss follows him out and Flair answers with Flair Chops, but Abyss comes right back with right hands. Abyss throws Flair into the guardrail and then he starts punching those stitches on Flair’s head opening the wound back up. Flair comes back with a lowblow and then he rolls back into the ring, but Abyss follows him. Flair pokes him in the eyes and then Flair climbs to the top! Abyss catches him and Press Slams Flair off the top! Abyss whips Flair into the ropes and hit’s a Big Boot. Abyss picks Flair up and hit’s a Sidewalk Slam but doesn’t go for the pin and starts smiling. Abyss whips Flair into the corner and hit’s a big Corner Splash and Flair comes out of the corner and does the traditional Flair Flop. Abyss grabs Flair who holds onto the ropes and the referee tries to pull Abyss off. Flair hit’s a low blow that hits both Abyss and Hebner’s family jewels. Flair pulls out the brass knuckles and nails Abyss with them! Abyss shakes it off and comes at Flair again but this time Flair punches him in the nuts! 1…2…3 and Flair gets the pin. The referee raises Flair’s hand and the brass knuckles fall out of Flair’s other hand! Hebner sees it and restarts the match! Flair immediately puts the boots to Abyss but Abyss hulks up and lights Flair up with right hands. Abyss whips Flair into the ropes and hit’s the Black Hole Slam! 1…2…3.

Rob Van Dam

This Monday’s TNA Impact was taped last Tuesday in Orlando, Florida.

Hulk Hogan opened the show by bringing out newly crowned TNA World Champion Rob Van Dam. RVD was said he was grateful to be in the company and knew he would get an opportunity once he arrived.

Former champion AJ Styles and Ric Flair came out and began insulting RVD, making marijuana references and claiming he cheated. Styles threatened to use his rematch clause while Flair turned his attention to Abyss and put him down verbally.

In a three-way dance, TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne defeated Tara and Angelina Love. Tara and Love got into it after the match.

TNA X-Division Champion Kaz defeated Shannon Moore after Matt Morgan interfered. Samoa Joe came out and took out Morgan.

In a Falls Count Anywhere match, AJ Styles and Sting defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy. Sting got the pin on Jarrett.

The Pope D’Angelo Dinero came out in an arm sling and eye patch. He began cutting a promo on AJ Styles, but was cut off by Mr. Anderson who challenged him to a match at TNA Sacrifice. They get into a brawl, but are broken up by security.

TNA Tag Champion Matt Morgan and Jesse Neal went to a no contest against Team 3D after The Band interfered. Morgan wound up taking out his partner and a whole brawl breaks out. After Morgan left, Hogan ordered him to go back to the ring where more ruckus ensued.

In the main event, Abyss defeated Ric Flair who got bloody during the match. Flair tried to use brass knuckles to get the win, but referee Earl Hebner saw them. After the match, Abyss took Flair’s Hall of Fame ring and said he knew who he was going to give it to next week, which closed the show.

Daffney (TNAWrestling.com)

Two TNA Knockouts were injured at Tuesday’s TNA Impact tapings in Orlando.

Daffney nearly broke her neck in a dark match against Team 3D Wrestling Academy student Betsy Ruth.

She was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but is expected to be okay.

Her official diagnoses is a deeply bruised sternum as well as a severe stinger, but there was no nerve damage according to TNA President Dixie Carter.

Meanwhile, Angelina Love will miss a few weeks after muscle and ligament tear at the tapings.

Per Carter, the former Knockouts Champion suffered a partial bicep tear and complete ulnar collateral ligament tear.

TNA Wrestling will tape the follow up to this week’s huge Impact broadcast on Tuesday in Orlando.

With Rob Van Dam as the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion, the company is teasing fallout from AJ Styles.

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair will wrestle Abyss in a Ring vs. Ring match where the winner gets both WWE Hall of Fame rings.

Matt Morgan and a mystery partner will defend the TNA World Tag Team Titles against Team 3D.

Kazarian will defend the X Division Championship against Shannon Moore.

TNA also hyped more from Samoa Joe who returned to the company during Monday’s Impact broadcast.

Eric Bischoff will unveil the new rankings system for the TNA World Title.

The show will be taped Tuesday night in Orlando at the Impact Zone.

Impact opens up with highlights from Lockdown which featured Angle getting his retribution on Mr. Anderson (and then announcing he was taking some time off), AJ retaining his title against The Pope, Lethal Lockdown, and much more!

The Impact intro hits and then the pyro goes off LIVE inside the Impact Zone! Tenay and Taz hype up the show for tonight and call AJ’s retaining the belt last night “questionable.”

AJ’s music hits and the TNA World Heavyweight Champion makes his way down to the ring having retained his belt inside the Steel Cage last night. For those that didn’t watch AJ and Pope put on one hell of a match but in the end AJ reached through the cage (through the whole that the camera men use to get a cleaner shot inside the cage) and grabbed a pen from one of the camera men. AJ then jabbed the pen in Pope’s eye and hit him with the Styles Clash to retain the belt. A big “AJ sucks” chant starts before AJ can even speak which causes AJ to tell all the fans to shut the hell up. AJ says due to his victory party last night Ric Flair won’t be here until a little later. AJ says last night he proved that pound for pound he is the best wrestler in the world to a chorus of boos. AJ says at Lockdown he stepped inside the Steel Cage with one of the best wrestlers in the world and he took care of business, and he did it all alone. AJ says his athletic ability was too much for Pope. AJ puts Pope over saying he was good but he just wasn’t good enough. AJ tells Pope not to get too down on himself because Kurt Angle, Sting, nor Jeff Jarrett are any better than Pope (AJ has beaten those men during his reign). AJ says he is the best in TNA. He says he is the best looking and the best athlete and he is the workhorse of TNA. He says all the wannabes watching in the back that want to jump on the AJ bandwagon can forget it because that train isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Rob Van Dam’s music hits and Mr. Monday Night makes his way out wearing his brand new t-shirt! RVD gets a massive pop. RVD steps into the ring and Taz says there have been rumors all day long about what RVD intended to do tonight. A HUGE “RVD” chant starts now. RVD says that (and points to the crowd) might confuse AJ but it’s called a crowd reaction. RVD says he was back there listening to AJ talk and it seems that AJ thinks he’s the best wrestler in TNA as the fans start chanting “AJ sucks.” RVD says he knows AJ doesn’t suck and maybe at one point AJ WAS the best wrestler in TNA but times have changed. RVD says AJ is used to getting all the attention and says AJ is a very good wrestler, but he’s never been as impressed with AJ as everyone else has been. RVD says he’s damn sure never been as impressed with AJ as AJ has of himself. RVD says TNA right now is where all the best wrestlers want to be and that’s not good for AJ which makes AJ understandably upset. RVD asks how AJ thinks he deserves the top spot in TNA over…and then he drops the mic and points to himself as the fans chant “ROB…VAN….DAM!” Jeff Hardy’s music hits now and Jeff makes his way out to the ring! AJ is not happy. Jeff’s face paint is just bizarre. RVD and Hardy slap each others hand as Jeff gets in the ring. Jeff says AJ has a little head to be so big headed. Jeff says he knows AJ has done a lot in TNA but he can him to do a lot more and the movement has begun. Jeff says he is in TNA to complete his collection of World Heavyweight Titles. Hulk Hogan’s music hits now and the Hulkster makes his way out now! Hulk is wearing an Abyss t-shirt. Hulk says this is exactly what he’s talking about and it’s exactly the reason everyone is talking about TNA. Hulk says this is why he brought RVD & Jeff into TNA, and it’s all about that title as he points to the belt on AJ’s shoulder. Hulk says it’s time for everybody in the back to up their game because they’re raising the bar in TNA. Hulk says AJ is the World Heavyweight Champion and he gives AJ props for that because when you’re the World Heavyweight Champion it means you’re the best at what you do. Hulk says when you’re the champ it means doors open up and things happen that you never dreamed of. He says it’s also about the business of being World Champion. Hulk says it’s about the limos and the girls and the big paychecks and he says that’s why everyone wants the World Heavyweight Title. Hulk says when he won the World Title it changed his life and each and every night you have to prove you’re the best. He says each night there is a target on your back. Hogan asks Jeff and RVD how bad they want that belt. He asks Jeff and RVD if they’re willing to put their friendship aside and step inside the ring to find out who’s the best TONIGHT! RVD and Jeff are hyped up and they’re ready for it! AJ isn’t liking any of that and says he doesn’t care. Hogan says he wants RVD and Jeff to come out here tonight and tear the building down and get these fans screaming “TNA” all night! Hogan says when it’s all said and done the man that gets the win he earns a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Title! AJ tells Hogan to pump his brakes and says that Hogan didn’t consult with him before he made this. AJ says he’s not going to be ready by Sacrifice but Hogan says he just made the match. Hogan then says he didn’t say anything about Sacrifice, he’s talking about the man that wins the match tonight will get a shot at the title TONIGHT! Holy crap! AJ goes ballistic and he is pissed off!

Ric Flair walks into the building and the camera man explains to Flair what just happened and Flair is just as pissed as AJ!

Velvet Sky & Lacey Von Erich (c) w/Madison Rayne vs. Daffney & ODB

Tenay refers to the team of Daffney & ODB has the strangest tag team ever assembled. Daffney was granted a shot at the belts with a partner of her choosing. Last night at Lockdown Madison Rayne won the Knockout Championship inside the Cage. Taz says last night it was mentioned that Syxx-Pac no-showed the event but Dixie Carter has informed him that she had spoke to Syxx-Pac and knew that he wouldn’t be able to attend. Daffney nails Velvet with a drop toe hold as the bell rings and then she goes after Madison. Daffney hit’s a series of Knee Strikes and then a Jawbreaker over her own knee on Velvet. Daffney then goes to the outside and chases Madison around the ring and then back into the ring where Velvet nails her with a kick. At the bottom of the screen results from Lockdown are scrolling across, pretty neat idea kind of like ESPN’s “bottom line” that shows scores. Velvet throws Daffney into the corner and tags in Lacey who puts the boots to Daffney before tagging Velvet back in. For those that don’t know TNA recognizes all 3 members of the Beautiful People as champions, Freebird rule in full effect here. Velvet puts the boots to Daffney and then pins her for a near fall. Velvet climbs to the middle rope and goes for a Flying Axe Handle Drop, but Daffney nails her in the gut and then reaches for a tag. Velvet grabs her leg to stop her so Daffney attempts an Enziguri, but Velvet ducks out of the way. Daffney then kicks Velvet off and tags in ODB! ODB hit’s a shoulder block on Velvet and then knocks Lacey off the apron and hits Velvet with another shoulder block! ODB hit’s a Thesz Press and then mounts Velvet and reigns down right hands. ODB actually spanks Velvet (I would pay to be in ODB’s spot right there) and then whips her into the corner. ODB hit’s a big Splash in the corner and then follows up with the Fall Away Slam! ODB rolls Velvet up as Madison distracts the referee! Lacey then sprays ODB with hairspray and Velvet rolls her up! 1…2…3 and the Beautiful People retain the belts!

JB then walks in and asks Flair about that rematch and Flair says he’s demanding it. Flair says they have 5 minutes to come out to the ring or he claims victory via forfeit.

Back from commercials Hogan and Jeff Jarrett have made their way out to the ring where Jarrett holds up a sign from a fan that says “Team Hogan” on it. Abyss says he and Jarrett heard about Flair’s challenge but apparently Flair hasn’t heard because the war between Team Hogan and Team Flair ended last night when they did exactly what they said they were going to do which was beat their a**! Abyss says if RVD and Hardy weren’t already scheduled in a match tonight they would have no problem doing it again tonight. Flair’s music hits and he leads out his band of villains! Flair tells Jarrett to kiss his a** and says he doesn’t take any crap from guys like them. Flair says Team Flair is here and they’re going to kick their a**es! Team Flair hit’s the ring and it’s on! Sting just watches as Beer Money and Wolfe jump on Abyss and Jarrett but then he walks in and nails Jarrett & Abyss with the bat which starts the beat down! Rob Terry’s music hits and “The Freak” runs out and levels Wolfe and then clotheslines Roode and Chokeslams Storm! He throws Beer Money out of the ring and then starts to pick Wolfe up but drops him. He tries it a second time and this time he Press Slams Wolfe onto Sting! Terry lays Sting out with a Big Boot! Terry has cleaned the ring and Flair says he’s a dead man. Bischoff walks out as Flair asks Terry who in the hell he is. Bischoff says he thought Flair learned his lesson last night and if Flair wants a rematch then he’ll get one! Team Flair vs. Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, & The Freak tonight but it won’t be a Handicap Match because he has a guy in the back that can’t wait to join Team Hogan! Another big match set for tonight! Tonight it’s Abyss, Jarrett, Terry, and a mystery partner vs. Sting, Desmond Wolfe, & Beer Money in a rematch from Lockdown!

Back from commercials Shannon Moore is reading from the Book of DILLIGAF when Matt Morgan walks up. Morgan says TNA Management is making him (he says us again) defend the belts against Team 3D next week and they’re making him find a partner. He puts Moore over and asks if he wants to be his partner. Moore asks Morgan if he’s counting his ego as a second person or something now (because of the ‘us’ and ‘we’ stuff). Morgan laughs and says he’s allowing to let Moore join him. Moore says he has to get mentally prepared for his next X-Division Title shot and he says the Book of DILLIGAF in Chapter 22, Verse 6 “both of you guys can kiss my tattooed ass” and walks away. Morgan says to himself “big mistake punk” as we cut back to Tenay & Taz.

In the back Bischoff and Hogan are walking together and talking. Hogan says he will never doubt Bischoff again and Bischoff says the easiest person to con is a con himself and Flair took it hook, line, and sinker. Hogan and Bischoff put over the TNA Title match for tonight and then the Team Hogan/Team Flair rematch. Hogan asks Bischoff if “he” is going to be here tonight and Bischoff says he’ll definitely be here. Hogan asks about the Heavyweight Title ranking system that had been previously mentioned. Bischoff says he dropped the ball before but next week the Ranking System will be revealed next week. He asks his awesomely hot secretary to go get the files on the Ranking system so he can show Hogan.

In the back RVD is getting ready for his match and he talks about facing his friend but says he’s going to do what he came to TNA to do, show that he’s the whole F’n show!

The winner of this match faces AJ Styles tonight in the Main Event for the big belt! RVD and Jeff shake hands at the bell and then they circle each other. The fans are really into this. Jeff shoots in for a lockup but RVD sidesteps him. RVD grabs Jeff in a waistlock and as Jeff goes to reverse RVD snaps off a spinning heel kick but Jeff ducks it. They’re selling that they know each other well. Jeff and RVD go in for the Greco-Roman Knucklelock and RVD kicks Jeff in the gut and then puts him in a hammerlock. Jeff reverses it and then RVD reverses it right back and goes for a side headlock. Jeff counters it and goes for the Twist of Fate! RVD blocks it and backs away as the fans are getting behind both guys.

Back from commercials RVD drapes Jeff over the guardrail with a front suplex and then he climbs up on the apron and hit’s the Corkscrew Legdrop onto Jeff who was hanging on the guardrail! RVD is also busted open from the wound that he suffered last night. During the break Jeff hit RVD with a sliding dropkick to the outside. Back to live action RVD puts Jeff on the apron and then climbs into the ring and hit’s a Slingshot into a Leg Drop as Jeff’s head was hanging over the apron! RVD climbs to the top and hit’s the Flying Cross Body! 1…2…NO Jeff kicks out! RVD hit’s a series of forearms on Jeff which seems to wake him up as he answers with right hands. RVD stops him with a series of leg kicks and then RVD attempts to whip Jeff into the corner, but Jeff reverses it. As Jeff charges at him, RVD attempts a clothesline but Jeff ducks and then dropkicks the legs of RVD and RVD crashes into the turnbuckles hard. Jeff grabs RVD’s legs and hit’s the Leg Drop To the abdomen and then a dropkick followed by a clothesline! 1…2…NO RVD kicks out! Jeff attempts to whip RVD into the corner but RVD reverses it and then goes for the Rolling Monkey Flip, but Jeff catches him with a nice clothesline in midair! 1…2…NO RVD kicks out again! RVD answers back with forearms but Jeff comes right back with right hands. Jeff comes off the ropes and RVD then drops down in a split as Jeff goes over him and then goes for the Monkey Flip, but Jeff grabs him by the legs and actually leg drops the legs of Van Dam into a pin! 1…2…NO and damn that was an awesome near fall! Hardy with another clothesline and another near fall. Jeff climbs to the top but Van Dam crotches Hardy as Taz mentions that Jeff as NEVER beaten RVD. RVD slides Jeff to the center of the ropes as Jeff is still straddling them! Van Dam nails him with a round kick and then follows up with the Flying Side Kick off the top! Hardy crashes down to the floor! Jeff rolls back into the ring and RVD hits him with a Corkscrew Leg Drop and then the Rolling Splash! 1…2…NO Jeff still kicks out! RVD picks Jeff up but Jeff backs RVD into the corner and lays into him with right hands and goes for the Hardyac Arrest (rope aided corner dropkick) but Van Dam moves and Hardy eats the turnbuckles! RVD hit’s the Split Legged Moonsault! 1…2…NO Jeff kicks out yet again! RVD can’t believe that Jeff kicked out again and then as Jeff starts to gets to his feet RVD lays into him with kicks. RVD goes for a Suplex but Jeff blocks it and then hit’s a Sitout Front Suplex of his own! Jeff climbs to the top but RVD hit’s a sickening Spinning Heel Kick to the head of Hardy! RVD climbs up with Hardy and goes for a Superplex but Hardy blocks it and pushes RVD off the top! Swanton Bomb! NO RVD MOVES! RVD up top and he hits it! 5 Star Frog Splash! 1…2…3 and Van Dam is the #1 contender! What a match!

In the back Hemme is with RVD and Hardy and she says that Jeff Hardy insisted that Jeff stand by for his interview. RVD and Jeff both say nothing has changed between them and they are still friends. Highlights of the match are shown with RVD & Jeff giving insight into ala UFC post-fight interviews. Jeff calls RVD’s Split Legged Moonsault “poetry in motion” and then Jeff congratulates RVD. RVD says he and Jeff agreed before the match that they would have each others back for the title shot tonight no matter what happened. RVD says if AJ was watching then he knows what he’s in store for.

In the back Abyss is in the locker room hyping Jeff and Terry up and he thanks Rob for having their back tonight. Abyss says Team Flair has no idea what kind of freak Terry really is. Terry says at the end of tonight everyone will know that he is “The Freak” and he says he’ll destroy them. Abyss says they don’t know who their 4th member is yet but he trusts Eric Bischoff and he feels like it’ll be a ‘bombshell.’

Tenay says this match will be under Lethal Lockdown Rules so it’s pretty much Lethal Lockdown without the cage. Sting and Jarrett will start the match off and every 2 minutes another member joins the match.

Sting picks up the chair and whacks Jeff with it! No DQ in this match boys! Sting whacks Jeff in the back with it again! Sting throws Jeff into that barricade yet again and then he drags Jeff up the steps! Sting lays into Jeff with right hands and then he rakes the eyes of Jarrett. Jeff is finally making his comeback with right hands and he throws Sting into the barricade now! Jeff picks up a chair and nails Sting with it and then he picks up another chair and blasts Sting in the back with it again! Jarrett throws Sting into the wall and then he attempts to whip him into it but Sting reverses it! Finally they get back to ringside and Sting slams Jeff into the guardrail. Sting tosses Jeff into the ring finally and stomps on Jeff’s hand. Sting taunts Jeff and dares him to hit him but he backs away every time Jeff swings and then puts the boots to him some more. Sting whips Jeff into the corner and goes for the Stinger Splash but Jeff moves and lays into Jeff with big right hands and uppercuts! Jeff comes off the ropes and hit’s a clothesline! Jeff whips Sting into the ropes and Sting goes for a clothesline but Jeff ducks and they clothesline each other! The next man in is DESMOND WOLFE! Wolfe tags himself in and lays into Jarrett with a European Uppercut and then he nails Jeff with a cross chop and whips him into the corner hard. Wolfe with another European Uppercut followed by a Running Forearm Smash! Wolfe attempts to whip Jeff into the ropes but Jeff reverses it and hit’s a Hiptoss! Jeff drapes Wolfe over the middle rope and hit’s the Body Guillotine on Wolfe and then this a series of rights, but Wolfe pokes him in the eyes and hit’s the Twisting Arm Wringer. Wolfe lifts Jeff up onto the top rope for the Tower of London but Jeff blocks it and hit’s a Back Suplex! The next man in is ROB TERRY! Terry tags Jarrett and climbs in with Wolfe! He lays Wolfe out with a series of clotheslines and then whips Wolfe into the corner and follows up with a backdrop! Sting comes in and eats a clothesline from Terry! Terry lifts Wolfe up and hit’s a Front Slam as we see Orlando Jordan looking on (he’s the true “Freak” in TNA). Terry lifts Wolfe up and hit’s a big Powerslam!

Back from commercials both Robert Roode and Abyss has joined in. Abyss nails Roode with a Big Boot and then a Corner Splash! Abyss hits Roode with a Chokeslam but remember no pin or submission until everyone is in the match! Abyss lays into Roode with right hands and then he whips him into the ropes and hit’s a backdrop! The next man in is JAMES STORM! Storm almost tripped as he was coming up the tunnel. Abyss went for a Splash on Roode as Storm climbed on the apron but Roode moves and Storm destroys Abyss with a Leaping Enziguri! Roode follows it up with the Blockbuster off the middle rope! Roode tags in Storm and Beer Money put the boots to Abyss. Storm with knee strikes on Abyss and then he comes off the ropes but Abyss catches him with a Sidewalk Slam! Both guys are down now. Taz says Abyss has a hairline fracture in his hip due to getting hit with the car last week. Wolfe and Jarrett tag in now. Jarrett lays both Roode and Wolfe out as he comes into the ring but Storm comes in and kicks Jarrett. Roode and Wolfe whip Jarrett into the corner and then they try to whip Storm into Jarrett but Jeff moved! Jeff lays Wolfe & Roode out with a Double Clothesline! All four of them are down! 10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2….1 and the next man in is SAMOA FREAKING JOE! JOE HAS AN INSANE LOOK ON HIS FACE AS HE WALKS DOWN BACK IN THE OLD RING GEAR! Tenay says we haven’t seen Joe for months since he was abducted from the Impact Zone! Joe looks down at Jarrett and Jeff looks shocked and scared to even tag him in but Joe looks down and slaps his arm! Joe comes in and lays everybody out! T-Bone Suplex on Wolfe! Joe throws Sting into the corner and hits him with a Running Elbow followed by a Leaping Enziguri! Roode charges at Joe but eats a Rock Bottom! Joe picks Roode up and tosses him into the corner and hit’s the MUSCLE BUSTER! Joe looks freaking nuts! 1…2…3 and BOYS THE SAMOAN SUBMISSION MACHINE IS ALL THE WAY BACK!

Joe left the ring as Team Hogan was about to celebrate and he still has that super intense look on his face. Flair walks down the ramp and grabs a microphone and says he has something to say.

Well it looks like TNA and SpikeTV weren’t on the same page there as they cut to break too early. They show what happened during the break. Flair challenges Abyss to a match next week with both Flair’s Hall of Fame ring and the ring that Hogan gave Abyss on the line!

Remember, Ric Flair is BARRED from ringside! This is a first time matchup, never before have these two men ever been in the same ring together and this is a dream match for many including myself. AJ throws his robe at RVD and then jumps him before the bell putting the boot to RVD. Tenay points out that RVD had two matches last night and this is his 2nd match tonight. AJ punches RVD repeatedly once again opening up that wound on his head. AJ tosses RVD out to the floor and then hit’s the Somersault Plancha over the top onto Van Dam on the floor!

Back from commercials AJ is still putting the beat down on RVD as Tenay says that AJ has had complete control. RVD starts to make a comeback with forearms but AJ hits him with a knee and then he whips RVD into the ropes. AJ goes for a backdrop but RVD backflips over AJ and then nails him with a series of kicks and punches. RVD whips AJ into the ropes but AJ slides underneath RVD’s legs and then he leapfrogs RVD as he turns around! AJ trips RVD as he started to run the ropes and then drills AJ with a dropkick! 1…2…NO RVD kicks out! AJ throws RVD into the corner and lights him up with Flair Chops and then he grabs the leg of RVD and hit’s a Back Heel Trip and elbow drops the leg of Van Dam repeatedly. A high flyer working on another high flyers leg. Van Dam answers back with right hands and then a round kick but when he went for another round kick AJ grabbed his leg and hit a beautiful Dragonscrew Legwhip! AJ puts the boots to that leg and then he chokes Van Dam in the corner. AJ tries to throw AJ into the corner but RVD blocks it with his leg and then hit’s a Hook Kick! RVD then follows up with the Stepover Heel Kick! Both men are down now. RVD gets to his feet and as he gets to it AJ lights him up with chops and RVD answers back with right hands. RVD comes off the ropes and hit’s a clothesline followed by another one and then a third. RVD hit’s a series of forearms in the corner and then he whips AJ into the opposite corner followed by the Rolling Monkey Flip! Van Dam sells the leg as he gets to his feet but then hit’s the Rolling Thunder! 1…2…NO AJ kicks out! RVD still selling the leg like it’s hurting him. He picks AJ up but AJ trips him with a double leg takedown and then locks in the Figure Four! He has it in the center of the ring! RVD is able to fight and scrape and crawl to the ropes. AJ grabs RVD’s leg and drags him back to the center fo the ring and goes for the Figure Four but RVD rolls him up! 1…2…NO AJ kicks out! RVD goes for a clothesline but AJ ducks and hit’s the Pele! AJ picks RVD up and goes for the Styles Clash but RVD blocks it and then backdrops AJ over the top to the apron! RVD turns around and AJ goes for the Springboard Hurricanrana, but RVD counters into a Powerbomb! RVD springs to the top and hit’s the 5-Star Frog Splash! 1…2…3 and WE HAVE A NEW WORLD CHAMPION!

As RVD celebrates his win confetti reigns down onto him as history has been made! WOW! Jeff Hardy walks out and hugs RVD in the ring as we see AJ Styles looking on shocked from the floor. Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter walk out and Hogan grabs the belt as we see most of the roster out as well. Hogan raises RVD’s arm and then presents him with the belt! This is a pretty cool moment. Team 3D raises RVD up on their shoulder as AJ looks on in shock and like he’s about to snap.
